Nice snowin ya
This was taken just before the wheels fell off. Before the power & water outages, when the excitement of snow was still fresh. We hope everyone is managing to stay safe and find suitable water sources. We’ve been moved by the power of community, neighborly support and people coming together. We love you Austin hang in there.

Time will tell whether or not it was a good idea to record in an open air hay barn down in Texas, but we certainly won’t regret the memories.

Out now! Today marks the release of our EP titled: ‘A Field Guide To Loneliness’. It’s a handful of songs we wrote and recorded while we found ourselves at home with a cancelled tour and more time on our hands than we’d planned for. If there’s any upside to not being able to tour, it’s that we’re able to create more music.
Next month we’re heading to destination unknown to record our next full length album. While all of this is something we’re looking forward to, it's still no substitute for being out there playing shows, and sharing in an evening with you. We miss the shows, and we miss our friends. If there’s one thing the Loneliness has taught us, it's this:
"I have learned that to be with those I like is enough”
- Walt Whitman
A huge thank you to @meredithonealart for all of the beautiful artwork for this project. We hope you enjoy the EP! You’ll be hearing from us soon.

‘Loneliness’ is out in the world today. Song #2 from a collection of musings that we’re proud to call “A Field Guide to Loneliness”. Each song is accompanied by its own field sketch, brought to life by the talented @meredithonealart

‘Bluebird’ is live today. It’s the first song from our upcoming EP: ‘A Field Guide to Loneliness’. We wrote these songs while trying to figure out what the new ‘normal’ looked like. We’re still asking ourselves that question today. We’re also still lonely, and missing all those things we used to take for granted. ‘Bluebird’ is about that person who manages to reach down into the well, pull you out, and remind you that all is not lost. Many thanks to the very talented @meredithonealart for bringing our bluebird to life with this lovely field sketch. More to come and we hope you enjoy.

Today we have the honor to be a part of @Huckberry’s first-ever virtual Huckberry Happy Hour on their YouTube channel. We’ll be joining our friends to sip a little of our very own collaborated @oakandeden “Round Prairie Rye” and to get a little loose before they strap us into the hot seat for some questioning. For exclusive access to the full Huckberry Happy Hour agenda - and a glimpse at what they'll be asking us, head on over to @huckberry and tune in today 4pm PT (6pm central) when things go live. Cheers!

Float on down the Green River, old hero. We never met him, but like millions of others we sure felt like we did. Our hearts are heavy today as we remember and appreciate John Prine.

One day when the world is closer to normal and we get to start touring again... the mink will reign once more. Follow @simonthemink. His joints are stiff, but he still gets around surprisingly well.

Hi Friends,
First, we SINCERELY hope you’re well, healthy and holding up as best you can out there! Sadly, we wanted to let you know our City Winery dates next month have officially been postponed of course due to this horrible coronavirus (see dates below). But we’re aiming to reschedule these shows as soon as we can and will be sure to keep ya posted. We were SO looking forward to playing these special acoustic shows but, in the meantime, we’ll be resurfacing from our respective hideouts periodically over the socials to check in, maybe sing a few songs, and continue to try and connect with everyone on some level.
Please be safe and hang in there everyone...This Too Shall Pass!
Be Well,
Jonathan & Zach

Founded by our friend and fellow musician Ryan O’Donovan in 2007, it’s been gratifying to watch his hard work and vision come to life in a big way. Needless to say, they make a damn good cup of coffee. Thanks to the verve fam for keeping us well caffeinated!
